Retained SearchClients that need to fill senior-level roles typically opt for a retained search. The payments are traditionally made in three equal parts: One as a retainer to initiate the search, one thirty days later, and one upon the placement of the candidate. Occasionally, firms offer to re-recruit for the position at no additional cost if the candidate leaves before a specified date. Retained Search is the higher-end service in the range of recruitment models, and with that you are paying for dedicated time and superior expertise in your industry.

Contingent SearchClients that need to fill mid-level to lower-level positions often choose to hire one or multiple contingency search firms to fill the role. As the name suggests, a contingency firm only gets compensated once a candidate is placed. The fee for a contingent search is typically a lower percentage of the total annual compensation than for a retained search, and can vary greatly by industry and difficulty.
We are predominantly a contingent search firm that will do a retained search for a client that is getting nowhere with filling the position and really need it done now. |
ConsultingWe will also consult with both candidates and clients to help them decide what they are looking for in order to take a laser like approach. We are information hounds. We want to know everything that our client and candidates want. Not just "Hey I need a Sr. Copywriter". We want the nitty gritty details, I need a Sr. Copywriter with oncology experience, someone who has supervised people, a person that can write taglines, can decipher complicated science into something that is understandable and compelling to the reader, we want a salary range of X, we would like that person to be able to travel, we would like them to have both consumer and professional experience, etc. With the candidate we want to know what that dream position would be that would make them pack their bags and leave tomorrow.
